Grading Policy

Grades are based on a total score for the semester. The total score is computed by adding together the items given below, using the weights given:

  • Homework - 15%
  • Group Project - 15%
  • Exam #1 - 20%
  • Exam #1 - 25%
  • Exam #2 - 25%

Hints:

Students are expected to read the textbook material by the day indicated on the course schedule.

Note that individual homeworks are scored on a four point scale. However, late homework automatically receives 1 point.

Good grades are positively correlated with frequent attendance.
